Since moving to Toronto in 2008, both Aline Homzy and Andrew Kesler have established themselves as premier award-winning musicians in the Canadian music scene. After years of working together on a variety of creative endeavors, in 2012 they set out to compose and record original music as a duo. The Dragon Suite is the result; a concept album of violin and piano duets that borders somewhere between chamber jazz, avant-garde, and a motion picture soundtrack. The music tells a story, and the listener decides how it ends.
Before its official release, the Dragon Suite was nominated in the "Best Jazz" category at the Toronto Independent Music Awards (TIMA) in 2012. In 2013, it was nominated at the International Independent Music Awards in both the "Contemporary Classical Album" and "Instrumental Song" categories.
